Welcome to CurbSide Croft’s Website

cc_newlogo_resizedAs a Buffalo based, urban farm, CurbSide Croft’s mission is to bridge the widening gap between consumers and producer. Following the adage that community has only as much power as it has control over its basic food production, Curbside Croft will help empower the community through the use of integrated, urban agriculture.

By practicing chemical free, natural methods, Curbside Croft will provide low cost, locally grown, healthy produce to the immediate area. Acting as an agent of change, CurbSide Croft hopes to initiate a back-to-the-city movement towards food sovereignty, providing the knowledge and opportunities that community members can use to regain control over their own means of food production.

2010 Open for Business & Farm Tour

1 01 2009

UPDATEHours are reduced to strictly Mondays from 3 – 6 p.m. for the month of August. There are many successive plantings and other upkeep that needs to be tended to. Sorry for any inconvenience. This will ensure we have wholesome, sustainably grown produce right through Autumn.

CurbSide Croft is officially open for the 2010 season. The philosophy is the same – provide organically grown produce to the immediate neighborhood with a focus on varietals specific to cultural cuisines of West Side community members – but the hours are expanded!

Stop by Monday 3 – 6 p.m. for fresh, all-natural, picked-to-order produce. Right now different types of heirloom tomatoes are ready as are some squash blossoms, beets and purple pole beans.

Additionally, CurbSide Croft is thrilled to be included in Feed Your Soul’s 2010 Urban Agriculture Farm Tour. The daylong tour includes stops at CurbSide Croft, Wilson Street Farm, Cold Spring Urban Farm and Massachusetts Avenue Project with a chef-prepared picnic lunch included. More information and tickets can be found at Feed Your Soul’s website. Tickets are currently on sale. This is a terrific opportunity to support locally owned businesses!

See you fence-side!
